Capstone Week3

This week is the week that I (planned to) figure out how to properly animate scenarios!!!

At first I successfully imported two starter assets for my animation exploration, they’re a polygon starter pack by Synty Studios and character controllers by Unity.

I also followed a YouTube tutorial by Synty Studio on how to convert all assets to URP and it was super helpful, that helps me with the disaster I created last week on my previous file.


With everything properly imported, I’m able to make character run around freely in a demo scene.

My initial goal of learning animation is to be able to make my character move like the following gif

My Goal was: with each key press, the character is able to move forward by 1 step.

But after checking all the codes in the started package and animation tutorials online, the game mechanic that I have envisioned in 3D spaces is probably out of my coding capability, and the amount of animations that I’ll need to tweak is scary to think about. So this week nothing really worked.


Next, I’ll probably shift away from building 3D.
